Today is my father’s - Nilton Escarlate - 80th birthday. I really wish I could be there in Rio de Janeiro to celebrate with you. It’s amazing how many things happened in this world since 1927. Thank you for being such an amazing person and father. I love you dad!

Last week I went to a panel organized by the SIIA (Software and Information Industry Association) called Think Small: Why Widgets are the Next Big Thing for Content Distribution. It was a great panel, and I was glad to meet Steven Touhill from Clearspring in person. I’ve met him when he was at Lightinincast, right before they were acquired by AOL.
